Eck McCanless and C. Albert Blomquist Live at STARworks

Get ready for some honky-tonk, classic county, and excellent originals from two NC musicians!

Eck McCanless and C. Albert Blomquist will perform at the STARworks Cafe and Taproom. No admission fee, but tips for the performers are greatly appreciated.

Eck McCanless is a songwriter who plays guitar, and sometimes harmonica and drums. His day job is running his own pottery shop in Seagrove, NC

C. Albert Blomquist was born in Durham, North Carolina in 1972, and grew up in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. As an artist, composer and performer, he was an active participant in the vital underground Punk and Metal scenes in that region of Florida in the mid to late 80s, as well as the Indie and Experimental Music communities that developed there in the 1990s.

A collection containing posters, objects d'art, and audio recordings that document Clark Blomquist's involvement in the independent music scene in Florida and North Carolina is maintained at the Southern Folklife Collection archive at The University of North Carolina.

Blomquist's longtime love of traditional Honky-tonk-style Country Music culminated in a debut album featuring 10 original compositions in the Fall of 2020. The follow-up is slated for release in Fall 2021.
