Artist talks are free and open to all ages

This presentation will be a research project of why pottery making is conducive to the central Piedmont area. It will include a brief natural history of the area, a geological survey, history of ceramics within the region, and a light ethnography of the potters currently working here today. The historical research will span indigenous peoples' pottery, crockery made from the 18th century to early 20th, and the era of ceramics in Seagrove today.
