Matt Kelleher

Matt Kelleher is associate professor of ceramics at New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He joined the faculty in 2015 after a decade of working as a studio potter in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Matt has participated in residencies at Penland School of Crafts, Archie Bray Foundation, Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, and Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. As Matt continues to investigate soda-fired tableware, his studio practice has expanded to include larger sculptural ideas.

Sabhdh Mowlds

Sadhbh Mowlds is an Irish born sculptor currently based in Illinois. After receiving her bachelor in Glass from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin (2014) she left Ireland for Germany. There, she became part of the Berlin Glas team, working closely with artists and designers on one of a kind commissions, while also instructing outreach programs and workshops. In 2019 she moved to the U.S where she received her MFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (2022). Mowlds works in a variety of materials and processes to create bizarre, bodily sculptures that initiate difficult, yet necessary, conversations about the effects of living in pre-constructed society. She has participated in exhibitions and workshops internationally including: Penland School of Crafts, NC; BildWerk Frauenau, Germany; Kunstsammlungen der Veste Coburg, Germany and the Hunt Museum, Ireland. Residencies include Berlin Glas, Germany and NCAD, Ireland.

theresa Yondo

Theresa Yondo was born in Cleveland, Ohio.  Her love for clay, glaze and firing methods began in 1978 at a community college under the instruction of her first teacher and mentor George Somogyi.  Over the years, Theresa has had the amazing opportunity to work with many other great teachers and continues to explore clay shapes and the many materials used to make clay and glaze and the methods of firing.  She has attended workshops at such venues as Penland School of Crafts, Cleveland Institute of Art and the Wooster Functional Ceramics Workshop.

She is a maker of organic sculptural shapes and utilitarian ware and much of the inspiration is derived from natures fleeting moments.  A bulb that blooms under the right conditions and a plants pattern and texture that seasonally changes are a few examples of these fleeting moments.

Theresa currently lives in Novelty, Ohio with her husband Bruce and dog Marie where she also has her studio.
