Intro to Stick Welding

Workshop

Saturday, may 13, 10am or 1pm

This is a 3 hour workshop designed as an introductory experience for the stick welding process. Participants will gain first hand exposure to the basics of the stick welding process which lends itself to a multitude of applications for garage or studio work.

This class will cover safety, tools, stick welding processes as well as the basics of metal fabrication. Students will gain a basic knowledge of how to weld steel in their garage, home or studio setting.  Gloves, jackets and welding hoods provided for use. Scrap steel provided for practice, but students are encouraged to bring steel items of their own to experiment with. 

Must be 16 or older; no experience required.

This workshop DOES NOT satisfy the prerequisite for Intermediate Welding Workshop.

Students MUST wear boots or closed toed shoes and full length, cotton/denim pants to participate. Participation will be refused without proper attire.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded.
