Beginning Blacksmithing

Saturday, May 20, 9am - 12pm or 1pm - 4pm

Beginning blacksmithing course designed to be an introductory experience to forging and forge basics. Learn what a forge is, different types of forges, how to heat metal and how to shape it. Students will learn how to draw out a taper to form a hook, then design and forge simple scroll work. All materials will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own steel to be forged as well. No experience necessary; ages 16+. Proper attire is required, closed toed shoes or boots, cotton clothing/denim pants.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded.

• Class is $150

• Class size is limited. Advance registration is required and payment is due at the time of registration
