George William Bell

Starworks Glass Resident Artist

G. William Bell’s work straddles the intersection of fine art, craft, and design, with a focus on material investigation and innovation. His artistic practice explores the balance between craftsmanship and artistic intent, engaging with self-generating, autonomous forms that push the boundaries of material possibilities. Bell's work examines the future of handmade objects, where conventional distinctions are blurred, and traditional belief systems are questioned. His pieces have been widely exhibited, including at the Corning Museum of Glass's New Glass Now (New York), the European Award for Applied Arts (Mons, Belgium), and Glass is Tomorrow's touring exhibition (Stockholm, Milan, London). Bell has received several prestigious awards, including recognition from Danske Kunsthåndværkere & Designere, Ung Svensk Form, and the Stanislav Libensky Award.
