Make Your Own Mug
Ceramic Hand-Building Workshop
February 10, 10am-12pm
Learn the fundamentals of hand-building to create your own ceramic mug, using Starworks Wild NC Clay!
Students will be provided 5lbs of Starworks Wild NC Clay, made right here in our own factory, in addition to all necessary tools, three glaze options and kiln firing.
This introductory ceramic workshop is great for beginners ages 8 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Student work will be dried, fired, and glazed for you after the workshop. Finished mugs will be available for pick-up approximately 4 weeks after the workshop. Items can be picked up in the School House Gallery during regular business hours, Monday - Saturday, 9am - 5pm. Shipping is available for an additional charge. Please inform your instructor if you need your mug shipped. Payment for shipping is made in person at the School House Gallery.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session to check in. Class will be held in the Starworks Clay Studio.
Live demonstration and hands-on direction from experienced instructor, Bo Gilbert, Clay Factory Intern and Resident Ceramics Artist at Starworks. Bo received their degree in Art Education with a certificate in Theatre & Drama from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bo has experience teaching ceramics at high school level plus workshops at the Chazen Museum of Art. They have developed solo exhibitions and worked as a studio assistant in the UW-Madison Ceramics & Metal Arts studios.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the popularity of our Make Your Own series, cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded.
