Welding & Beyond: Intermediate Workshop
Saturday, July 19, 9am-3pm
Includes a break for lunch
Instructed by artist and Director of Starworks Metals, Mac Metz.
About the Workshop: This intermediate metal fabrication class is designed as a follow up to Starworks Beginning Welding course. Students will advance their skills as we take a more in depth look at welding processes as well as other aspects of metal fabrication. This course will also have more focus on the students individual needs for developing fabrication skills. Students can work with the instructor to make sculpture, functional objects, or simply continue to practice their welding skills. Some material will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring steel items or projects to work on or practice with. Participants will finish the course with metal items to take home. Welding Basics Intro Workshop is a prerequisite for this course. Must be 16+.
Cost: $250 per student, space is limited. Register below.
Time: 9am-3pm (one hour lunch break, lunch not provided, cafe on site)
Location: Starworks, 100 Russell Drive, Star, NC
