Starworks is thrilled to announce Harmonized Heritage an exhibition showcasing the remarkable works of our talented interns, Andrew Tran and Ariana Stein. The exhibition will run from June 27 to July 20, 2024, at the Starworks Exhibition Gallery, open to the public Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.

Opening Reception: Thursday, June 27 at 5:30pm

Andrew Tran

Andrew Tran was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was first introduced to clay in high school. In 2018, he spent half a year with an exchange program at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China, which led him to an independent study in Jingdezhen. In 2019, he received his BFA from the School of Art and Design at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. After graduation, Andrew continued his ceramics in workshops at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Andrew is now currently pursuing a Post-Baccalaureate program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Ariana Stein

Ariana Stein is a ceramic artist from St. Louis, Missouri. Raised between the American Midwest and Budapest, Hungary, Ariana's work is an amalgamation Hungarian and American pottery traditions. Her highly decorative pots depict traditional Eastern European motifs, while her surfaces and process are evocative of salt-fired American stoneware. Ariana pursues narrative storytelling in her work, using complex imagery and forms to tie folk tales into our present understanding of culture.
