Hot Glass Cold Beer

Oct 9 at 5:30pm

Hot Glass Cold Beer is back — our signature evening of glassblowing, craft brews, and community! Join us for live glassblowing demonstrations, great drinks, and the chance to experience the energy of Starworks studios after hours. Each event features a special visiting artist, giving you a front-row seat to the creativity and skill shaping the world of contemporary glass.

This month, we’re thrilled to welcome Joshua Raiffe, a Brooklyn-based artist whose bold and innovative glass handbags have captivated the worlds of art, design, and fashion. With a family legacy steeped in design — from fashion and toy-making to glassblowing — Raiffe’s work embodies a spirit of invention that has earned him international acclaim.

Raiffe’s glass bags first gained widespread attention in 2022, when Gigi Hadid carried one on Coperni’s runway during Paris Fashion Week. Since then, his creations have been embraced by celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Doja Cat, and Caitlyn Jenner, and have appeared on runways in New York, London, and Tokyo. Beyond the fashion world, his pieces are celebrated as sculptural artworks, exhibited at galleries and museums including R & Company, Habatat Gallery, ArtXNYC, and the Taoxichuan Glass Museum in China.

Featured in publications like Vogue, Elle, W Magazine, Nylon, and Highsnobiety, Raiffe continues to push boundaries at the intersection of art, design, and fashion. Of his work, he says: “It is my sincerest hope that my bags will inspire the wearer to have a bold and powerful voice, and hopefully become a treasured family heirloom for generations.” This is a family friendly event for all ages!
