Eamon Rogers is a ceramic artist living in central North Carolina. He studied ceramics as an undergraduate at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Connections between local materials, the landscape, and historical pottery guided his work in college. He came to North Carolina in 2019 to learn more about its pottery traditions and methods while apprenticing for North Carolina artist Joseph Sand. Since completing his apprenticeship in 2021, he has worked as a clay factory intern at Starworks. As an intern, Eamon researched new ways of using our North Carolina clays and materials, developing a body of work using terra sigillata made from wild clay sources. In his spare time, he is cyclist and uses his time riding in the hills and woods to find new inspiration in his work.
