Dara Ronli Alper first began glassblowing in 2012 at Tidewater Community College. In 2018, she earned her BFA from Kent State University. Since, she has completed residencies in Salem, New York and Murano, Italy as well as an assistantship at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio. Alper uses glass to create immersive sculptures and interactive experiences to explore how external factors, including other people, can affect internal identity. Her jewelry is an extension of her artistic practice and invokes a sense of play and creativity within the wearer. She is currently building her instructive glass business The Molten Maker Space, a mobile flameworking studio that brings the instruction to you.
