Thin Wood Fired Okeewemee Sippers by Emily Fedorchak
These thin wood fired Okeewemee sipper cups have a scalloped textured rim and come in red and gray. Fedorchak creates a beautiful delicate and useful small cup from clay made here at Starworks. These handmade items may vary slightly in color and finish. The measurements are approximately 3.5” in height and 2.5” in diameter.
Emily Fedorchak was born and raised Greenfield, Indiana, and was recently a Starworks ceramic intern interested in chemical composition and community wood firing practices. As a Marlin Miller Outstanding Senior Award Finalist, she graduated from Alfred University in 2021 with honors. From there, she continued to grow in her practice and started to teach classes and workshops as a Wellsville Creative Arts Center resident. During summer 2021, Fedorchak became a Founding CoDirector of Alfred Arts Studio and remains involved in the social media marketing and written proposals concerning the newly rejuvenated space. Overall, she sees these accomplishments as a way to share her work with others and generate conversation.
